I will never forget the first time I met Ed in Mexico in 1982 when he was representing Citibank as part of a large banking syndicate. I was so impressed with his professionalism and demeanor for such a young banker but, as I quickly got to know him, I was even more impressed with his character, integrity, sense of humor, generous spirit and down to earth nature. My husband, Carlos, and I became fast friends with Ed and his wonderful wife, Patricia and we maintained that friendship over the past 33 years, meeting when we could in London or Miami. We feel privileged and blessed to have had Ed as our friend. We are saddened by his loss and our hearts and prayers are with Patricia and their three extraordinary children.
